Convert a Bank Statement to Excel
Reconciling transactions is hard enough without retyping every row. Upload a bank statement — a PDF your bank emailed, or a scanned or photographed paper copy — and get the transaction table back as an editable Excel file, dates, descriptions, and amounts intact.

Scanned, photographed, or digital — both work
The two most common sources of a bank statement are read differently under the hood, though you upload them the same way.
A digital PDF export
Downloaded straight from your bank's website or app. The text underneath is already real, structured data, so the table comes out clean and the extraction is close to instant.
A scanned or photographed copy
A printed statement run through a scanner, or a phone photo of one. There's no text layer underneath, so it's read the way any photo is — reliably most of the time, but worth a closer look at dense rows before you trust the numbers.
Your statement isn't stored
Bank statements are sensitive. Your file is sent to our OCR provider only to extract the table, never saved on our servers or in any database, and the Excel file itself is generated in your browser — it never leaves your device as anything other than the download you asked for.
Bank statement to Excel — FAQ
Does this work with a scanned paper statement, or only a digital PDF export?+
Both. A statement your bank lets you export as a PDF already has real text underneath, so extraction is fast and reliable. A statement you scanned or photographed — printed and then scanned, or an older paper statement — is read the same way a photo is: accurately most of the time, but worth a closer look afterward. You don't need to know which type you have before uploading; both go through the same tool.
Is my bank statement stored anywhere?+
No. Your file is sent to our OCR provider to extract the table, and is not saved on our servers or in any database afterward. The Excel file itself is generated in your browser and never uploaded anywhere else.
How accurate is the extraction on a long transaction table?+
It depends on the statement's print quality and how dense the transaction table is — a clean PDF export or a well-lit scan extracts cleanly, while a crumpled or low-contrast photo needs more review. Always check the editable preview before downloading, especially for transaction dates and amounts you plan to reconcile against.
What file types and sizes can I upload?+
Images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP) up to 10MB, and PDFs up to 15MB.
