How your images are processed
When you upload an image to Imgtosheet, it is sent directly from our server to a third-party OCR (optical character recognition) provider for text and table detection. We do not save, log, or otherwise store the image or the extracted text on our servers or in any database. Once the table data is returned to your browser, the image is discarded. Our OCR provider's handling of image data during processing is governed by their own privacy and data-use terms, available on request.
No accounts, no server-side storage
Imgtosheet does not require sign-up and has no user accounts. The app is fully stateless: the Excel file you download is generated in your browser and is never uploaded or stored anywhere else.
Anonymous usage counts
When you download a file, we log how many cells you edited and whether you edited any at all, so we can measure OCR accuracy and improve it over time. This is only a count and a yes/no — we never log or store the actual text in any cell, before or after editing.
Pro waitlist email
If you submit your email to be notified when the Pro tier launches, we store that email address solely to send you that notification. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any other purpose. This is a temporary, pre-launch signup — it will move to a proper account system once Pro launches.
